Experian Business Information (BI) is part of the Credit Services division within Experian UK. Experian BI employs over 300 people across two sites, Nottingham and Langley.
In 1826 the 'Society for the Protection of Traders against Fraudulent Sharpsters and other Swindlers' became known as the Manchester Guardian Society. Then, in 1984 the Manchester Guardian Society was acquired by Experian (CCN). Five years later in 1989, Experian was the first to provide an on-line service of credit information and capture all Companies House Data. Today, we are a leading provider of business information for risk management and business development. Experian BI entered the B2B Marketing industry in 2001 with the launch of the National Business Database. Experian acquired Yell Data in 2003 which resulted in a unique set of business data. The National Business Database was launched in 2004, with Yell Data fully incorporated alongside Thomson Directories and 8 other data sources.
